Job Description

About Novee:

Join us in building Novee, the AI platform transforming how insurance risks are assessed, backed by $2.2 million in funding from 42Cap and Insurtech Gateway. We’re already working with some of the largest insurers, processing hundreds of millions in premium. Commercial & Specialty insurance is a $1 trillion industry that quietly powers the global economy. Behind every plane, power plant or stadium is a complex web of risk decisions that still rely on manual processes and gut feel. Underwriters trawl through documents and emails just to decide whether to take on a risk. We turn that clutter into fast, structured insights so insurers can make better, faster decisions. If you want to help transform a critical, overlooked industry with real-world impact, we’d love to talk.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to sit at the intersection of clients, engineering, and data operations. You’ll own the delivery of PoCs and pilots with insurers and MGAs, translate underwriting needs into clear technical requirements, develop the product roadmap, manage the ground-truth datasets that power our AI models, and work directly with engineers to test, measure, and improve accuracy. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who combines product thinking with technical depth and operational rigour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PoCs & Pilots (Insurers / MGAs) – Own client engagements from scoping requirements and defining success metrics to coordinating internal engineering resources. Lead the execution of pilots, ensuring alignment with client workflows and measurable outcomes. Deliver clear executive read-outs that demonstrate value and ROI
  • Client Onboarding & Compliance – Lead technical onboarding for new clients, covering integration planning, configuration, and training. Manage security questionnaires, InfoSec due diligence, and technical RFP responses. Ensure all security and data protection standards meet client and regulatory requirements in partnership with engineering and compliance teams
  • Technical Product Ownership – Translate underwriting and workflow needs into precise, testable product requirements. Prioritise features and improvements based on business value, data insights, and client impact. Maintain a clear backlog and ensure engineering receives well-scoped specifications.
  • Data Operations & Ground Truth – Manage offshore data-labelling teams, creating and refining annotation guidelines while ensuring quality and throughput targets are met. Oversee creation, validation, and improvement of ground-truth datasets that power our AI models. Audit labelled data to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
  • AI Evaluation and Improvement – Define accuracy benchmarks and acceptance criteria with engineering. Analyse model outputs, investigating errors to identify root causes. Work with engineers to iterate quickly, validating improvements before release and tracking performance over time.
  • Testing & Release Readiness – Develop and execute test plans for new features and model updates. Sign off on release readiness, ensuring quality standards and acceptance criteria are met. Coordinate release communications so clients understand new capabilities and enhancements.
  • Customer Success – Build trusted relationships with underwriters and clients, staying closely embedded in their workflows. Gather real-time feedback, address pain points, and ensure clients feel supported. Feed insights directly into product development to drive adoption and retention

Experience & Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in a product management, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role
  • Strong track record in delivering technical products or AI solutions from concept to production
  • Background in insurance, banking, or other financial services preferred, with an understanding of complex workflows, compliance requirements, and data sensitivity
  • Strong interest in developing your knowledge of commercial and specialty insurance
  • Experience or keen interest working with AI products, including model evaluation, accuracy measurement, and data labelling workflows
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics, identify root causes, and recommend improvements
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders
