Novee is an AI platform transforming how insurers assess risk. We are a team of 12, backed by $2.2m from 42CAP and Insurtech Gateway, and already work with some of the largest insurers in the London Market, processing billions of pounds of premium a year through the platform.
Commercial and specialty insurance is a $1 trillion industry that quietly powers the global economy. Behind every plane, power plant or stadium is a complex web of risk decisions that still rely heavily on manual processes and gut feel. Underwriting teams trawl through documents and emails just to decide whether to take on a risk. We turn that clutter into fast, structured insights so insurers can make better, faster decisions.
If you want to help modernise a critical but overlooked industry, working at the intersection of technology, customers and strategy, we'd love to talk.
The Role
We are hiring a Senior Engagement Manager to run proofs of concept (POCs) with our largest and most complex prospective clients as well as take new clients into production on the Novee platform. The role is central to how we grow: you will be the person who helps clients realise the strategic and operational value of Novee. It is a broad, hands-on and client-facing role working closely with founders, sales, product and engineering.
For most of our clients, Novee will be the first AI product they use in their day-to-day work beyond general tools like Copilot. You will guide them through that change, from the first working session to live use across their underwriting team.
The role suits someone client-focused and structured who can pick up a complex domain quickly. Insurance experience helps but is not required.
What You'll Do
- Own client POCs end to end: independently run POCs for our most critical / complex clients; activities include defining success criteria, building the business case, capturing requirements and driving engagement through to a production contract
- Lead onboarding and enablement: run working sessions, configure the platform, deliver training and help users get the most from Novee
- Build strong relationships across client teams, from hands-on users to senior sponsors, and develop champions among them
- Drive adoption: monitor usage, and spot and resolve concerns early
- Scope and manage integrations into clients' downstream systems, coordinating between client teams and Novee engineering
- Improve the POC process: identify ways of improving conversion rates and shortening delivery times, then document and disseminate these to the wider team
- Turn client feedback into product improvement: troubleshoot issues with engineering, and work with product to prioritise the changes that matter most to clients and to our commercial strategy
- Coaching: Mentor and develop members of the Engagement Management team that are earlier in their careers
What Success Looks lIke After Six Months
- You understand the platform and the underwriting workflows it supports well enough to run POCs independently for clients with the most complex use cases
- You have delivered POCs for 4 key clients, all converted into production
- You have made significant changes to our POC and onboarding playbook aimed shortening delivery times and improving conversion
- You have taken 10 product improvements from client feedback through to release with product and engineering
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years in management, AI or digital transformation consulting, or a similar role within an insurance or B2B SaaS organisation
- Experience running client-facing projects or implementations with executive stakeholders, and driving them to measurable outcomes
- A fast learner, able to get up to speed in a complex, jargon-heavy domain
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage several client workstreams in parallel
- A clear, confident communicator, comfortable running calls, workshops and training with senior and hands-on stakeholders alike
- Practical with data and systems (e.g. mapping fields between systems, producing analysis, applying configurations)
- At ease in a fast-moving startup with ambiguity and real ownership
- Interest in AI products and how technology can improve decision-making in complex industries
- Nice to have: Exposure to insurance, underwriting or financial services
