Behind every successful erection is someone who can keep the crews coordinated, the subcontractors moving and the work on track.You'll be joining an established UK structural steel specialist with more than 75 years in the industry, delivering projects ranging from straightforward building frames to complex structures across the UK and Europe. With the manufacturing capability to process 50,000 tonnes of steel a year, the business has the scale and experience to take on substantial projects.They're looking for a Site Manager who understands what it takes to turn steelwork plans into a finished structure on site.The RoleYou'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of allocated structural steelwork projects, balancing site safety, programme and quality while keeping everyone working towards the same goal.Lead daily site activities, coordinating operatives and subcontractors to keep erection works progressing.Oversee structural steelwork installation, ensuring work meets the required quality standards.Drive site safety, making sure working practices meet current legislation and site procedures.Track progress against the programme, identifying delays early and taking action before they affect delivery.Coordinate with clients and project teams to keep communication clear and resolve issues as they arise.The CandidateYou'll need hands-on experience of structural steelwork erection, including lining and levelling, and the confidence to manage activities on site.Essential:Experience in structural steelwork erection, including lining and levelling.Proven health and safety experience.An appropriate CSCS card.Desirable:A recognised site safety qualification, such as the CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).MEWP or other relevant plant operator certification.A current first aid certificate.The BenefitsAlongside a salary based on your experience, the package includes:Company pension.Sick pay scheme.Health plan.Cycle to work scheme.Save-as-you-earn share scheme.Option to purchase additional holidays.You'll be working on structural steelwork projects where effective site management makes a direct difference to safety, quality and delivery.How to ApplyIf you have structural steelwork erection experience and are ready to take ownership of site delivery, apply today.
