An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Tekla Draughtsman to join a well-established structural steel business with a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This is a great chance to become part of a technically strong team delivering high-quality steelwork design and fabrication solutions from concept through to completion.

What you’ll do:

  • Create GA drawings, assembly drawings, and single-part fabrication details
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
  • Generate material lists, reports, and workshop information from models
  • Ensure all drawings and models meet project specifications and industry standards
  • Carry out model checks and resolve detailing and coordination issues
  • Support fabrication and site teams with clear and accurate technical information

You’ll need:

  • Proven experience using Tekla Structures within structural steel detailing
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication, connections, and construction methods
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of UK steelwork standards (preferred)
