Job Title: Retirement Housing Advisor (Neighbourhood Housing)
Location: Lewes and Eastbourne
Hours per Week: 37 hours
Rate of Pay: 17 P/H (Umbrella)
Lewes and Eastbourne are currently looking for an experienced Retirement Housing Advisor to join their team.
Main Duties:
- Support the delivery of tenancy management services, particularly for older and vulnerable tenants, across Eastbourne and Lewes, focusing on promoting independence and self-service options.
- Assess risks and vulnerabilities of tenants, collaborating with partner agencies to provide appropriate support, including safeguarding referrals.
- Manage urgent tenant queries, maintain statutory landlord and health and safety requirements, and ensure accurate information is recorded in relevant systems, following data protection regulations.
- Contribute to process improvements, develop tools and guidance for the team, and support the promotion of Council services via social media and other communication channels.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in tenancy management, particularly with older and vulnerable tenants, and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to respond to urgent tenant concerns and work with partner agencies.
- Ability to manage and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with data protection and financial regulations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team, contributing to process improvements and service delivery.
