An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established structural steel contractor delivering high-quality projects across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. This role offers the chance to take ownership of commercial management across a varied portfolio of steelwork projects within a supportive and experienced team environment.

What you'll do:

  • Manage all commercial and financial aspects of structural steel projects from pre-contract through to final account
  • Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and project forecasts
  • Carry out valuations, variations, and applications for payment
  • Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure commercial accuracy and compliance
  • Support procurement of subcontractors and materials
  • Monitor project costs and report on financial performance
  • Liaise closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and site teams
  • Assist with final account preparation and negotiation

You’ll need:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steel or the wider construction industry
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and contract documents
  • Experience with cost control, valuations, and variations
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction (preferred)
