You’ll be joining a well-established structural steel contractor whose work can be found across major infrastructure, aviation, rail and architecturally complex projects throughout the UK and beyond.
From airport developments to landmark steel structures, you’ll play a key role in helping secure the projects that shape the business’s future.
Working alongside experienced commercial and project teams, you’ll be trusted to develop competitive tenders that balance technical accuracy with commercial success.
The Role
You’ll help win exciting structural steel projects by
- Producing accurate estimates from structural drawings and project specifications.
- Preparing take-offs, bills of quantities and competitive tender submissions.
- Working with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best commercial solutions.
- Identifying project risks and supporting value engineering opportunities.
- Collaborating with engineering and commercial teams throughout the tender process.
- Helping shape bid strategies that convert enquiries into secured projects.
No two tenders are the same, giving you exposure to a wide variety of technically interesting work across multiple sectors.
What You’ll Need
Essential
- Previous estimating experience within construction or structural steel.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong commercial awareness and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Confident communication skills with both technical and commercial teams.
Desirable
- Experience estimating structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
