The Role:

Our Client is seeking a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Operative – Joinery Bias to support Housing Services in maintaining safe, high-quality homes for residents across the city.

You’ll be part of a dedicated repairs and maintenance team, delivering essential joinery and multi-trade works to ensure properties remain safe, compliant, and welcoming.

• Install, repair, and maintain joinery/carpentry fixtures (doors, kitchens, staircases, roofs, flooring, fencing)
• Deliver multi-trade repairs (plumbing, plastering, brickwork, painting)
• Conduct fault diagnostics & planned preventative maintenance
• Ensure compliance with H&S, safeguarding & equality standards
• Maintain accurate digital job records
• Support apprentices/trainees with knowledge sharing
• Contribute to flexible working & out-of-hours support when needed

The Client:

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Advanced Craft in Joinery (second trade beneficial)
• Proven joinery & carpentry experience
• Ability to carry out additional trade tasks (plumbing/plastering ideal)
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Excellent customer service & communication skills
• Familiarity with digital work/job systems
• Full UK driving licence + ECS H&S card
