An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to join a well-established structural steel fabrication business delivering high-quality projects across commercial, residential, and major infrastructure sectors. This is a key commercial role focused on driving new business, developing client relationships, and securing profitable structural steelwork packages across London and the wider UK market.
This role requires previous experience working directly with a structural steel fabricator and a strong understanding of steelwork estimating, fabrication, and construction processes.
What you'll do:
- Drive sales activity across structural steel projects from enquiry through to order
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, developers, engineers, and consultants
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across London and surrounding regions
- Work closely with estimating, design, and project delivery teams to develop competitive and buildable solutions
- Prepare and present tenders, proposals, and commercial submissions to clients
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximise profitability
- Manage a pipeline of live opportunities and maintain accurate CRM reporting
- Attend client meetings, pre-tender interviews, and industry networking events
You'll need:
- Proven experience in a sales, business development, or commercial role within a structural steel fabricator
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication, erection processes, and construction sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience working closely with estimating or tendering teams
