About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our growing team in Leicester. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive estimates for a variety of structural steel projects across commercial, industrial, and fabrication sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for structural steel projects, including materials, labour, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to provide accurate pricing.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain quotes and clarify project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the design, production, and project management teams to ensure estimates are practical and buildable.
- Maintain and update cost databases, pricing models, and standard estimating procedures.
- Assist with tender submissions and post-tender queries.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a structural steel estimator, ideally within fabrication or construction.
