An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Tekla Draughtsman to join a well-established structural steel business with a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This is a great chance to become part of a technically strong team delivering high-quality steelwork design and fabrication solutions from concept through to completion.
What you'll do:
- Produce detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures for structural steel projects
- Create GA drawings, assembly drawings, and single-part fabrication details
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
- Generate material lists, reports, and workshop information from models
- Ensure all drawings and models meet project specifications and industry standards
- Carry out model checks and resolve detailing and coordination issues
- Support fabrication and site teams with clear and accurate technical information
You'll need:
- Proven experience using Tekla Structures within structural steel detailing
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication, connections, and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of UK steelwork standards (preferred)
