Temp Council Tax Adviser Haringey £22 per hour (umbrella) Full Time Contract (3 Months) Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Temp Council Tax Adviser in Haringey. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours. The job: Determine the correct liable party for Council Tax, Business Rates and BID levy in order for all required notices to be issued as soon as practicable Provide high-quality professional advice, guidance and support in respect of Council Tax, Business Rates or BID levy to customers and external partners Assist in the review of discounts, reliefs or exemptions to maximise revenue due to the council and identify and reduce incidences of fraud Attend magistrates court liability order and other committal hearings in support of the Court Officer/Team Manager, assisting with the gathering of evidence prior to the hearing and interviewing customer who attend the hearing Accurately calculate and create refunds where overpayments have been madeThe candidate: Proficient in the use of NEC and (email address removed) processing systems A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a revenues team (preferably billing) Ability to administer Council Tax and respond to all enquiries in line with legislation and council policy Ability to negotiate payment plans on Council Tax debt Ability to identify and sign post/support vulnerable and struggling customersPlease submit your application via the contact details provided and you will be contacted with further information about this opportunity or email your CV to me directly; or call me on; (phone number removed)
