An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established structural steel business delivering high-quality projects across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. This is a key role within a growing commercial team, offering the chance to work on a wide range of technically interesting steelwork projects from tender stage through to final account.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and detailed take-offs for structural steel projects
  • Manage valuations, variations, and interim payment applications
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to assess project requirements
  • Work closely with design, project management, and fabrication teams
  • Negotiate with clients and subcontractors to ensure commercial control of projects
  • Monitor project costs and report on financial performance
  • Assist with procurement of materials and subcontract packages
  • Support final account preparation and agreement

You'll need:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steel or construction
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience with cost control, variations, and commercial reporting
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction (preferred)
