The drawings produced here do more than support a project. They become the information the workshop relies on, the data the machines run from and the plans installation teams use to bring complex steel structures to life. With a growing order book and a steady flow of projects across multiple sectors, this structural steel specialist is looking for a Tekla Detailer who understands how good detailing keeps fabrication moving and problems off site. You'll work closely with engineers, project managers, fabrication teams and installation crews to make sure every model is accurate, buildable and ready for manufacture.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and coordinate detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures
  • Produce GA, fabrication and erection drawings ready for manufacture and installation
  • Develop connection details in line with engineering requirements and project specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects and project teams to resolve design challenges early
  • Generate material schedules, bolt lists and CNC data for fabrication
  • Support workshop and site teams with technical queries throughout project delivery

What they’re looking for:

Must have:

  • Previous experience detailing structural steelwork using Tekla Structures
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
  • Knowledge of steel connections, detailing principles and fabrication standards
  • Experience producing fabrication-ready drawing packages

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with British Standards and Eurocodes
  • Experience coordinating steelwork models with other disciplines

Why consider the move?

  • Secure pipeline of structural steel projects across a range of sectors
  • Opportunity to work closely with fabrication and installation teams
  • Varied workload with involvement throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Chance to develop your technical expertise within an established steelwork business
  • Competitive salary and benefits package

If you enjoy turning engineering concepts into buildable steelwork packages and want to see your work move quickly from model to site, apply today for a confidential conversation about the business, the projects and the opportunities ahead.
