We are seeking a Risk and Regulatory professional to join our consulting practice, supporting both managed services and advisory engagements. The role focuses on prudential risk, requiring strong financial acumen and experience in drafting and maintaining ICARAs for FCA-regulated firms. You will lead risk assessments, stress testing, wind-down planning, and the development of risk registers, taxonomies, and enterprise risk frameworks, preparing board-ready summaries and presenting findings to senior management. This role is ideal for a risk professional (not compliance) with hands-on prudential experience looking to influence client risk governance and financial resilience.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the drafting, review, and ongoing maintenance of ICARAs for FCA-regulated investment firms
- Support harm identification, risk quantification, capital and liquidity adequacy assessments, and wind-down planning
- Review and challenge financial frameworks, including stress testing and scenario analysis
- Prepare board-ready ICARA summaries and present findings to senior management where required
- Design, draft, and enhance enterprise risk management frameworks proportionate to client size and complexity
- Develop and maintain risk registers, risk taxonomies, and risk appetite statements
- Support clients in developing and embedding ESG frameworks and governance structures
- Integrate ESG and Climate risks into enterprise risk management frameworks
- Support regulatory disclosure readiness (e.g., TCFD, sustainability-related disclosures where applicable)
- Support climate risk scenario analysis and ESG data governance initiatives
- 4–7 years of experience in asset management or a prudential risk-focused consulting practice
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in prudential risk
- Experience leading the drafting, review, and maintenance of ICARAs for FCA-regulated investment firms
- Skilled in harm identification, risk quantification, capital and liquidity adequacy assessments, and wind-down planning
- Ability to review and challenge financial frameworks, including stress testing and scenario analysis
- Experience preparing board-ready ICARA summaries and presenting findings to senior management
- Proficient in designing, drafting, and enhancing enterprise risk management frameworks, including risk registers, risk taxonomies, and risk appetite statements
- A team player who is happy with a broad role juggling a variety of consulting and managed services engagements across risk, regulation and ESG.
