Palmer Sport, the UK's leading provider of premium corporate motorsport events are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Tyre Fitter to join our Engineering Department.
Working alongside our experienced engineering team, you'll play a vital role in preparing and maintaining one of the most exciting performance vehicle fleets in the country.
From Mc Laren Artura GT4s , Formula 3000 single‑seaters, Ginetta G56 GTAs, JP‑LMs and Caterhams, to our fleet of support and site maintenance vehicles, you'll help ensure every vehicle is equipped with the right tyres and ready to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced motorsport environment, where you could be expected to handle up to 80 tyre changes a day.
Key Responsibilities
- Changing and fitting tyres throughout our corporate event days to support vehicle availability
- Cleaning, inspecting and balancing wheels to the highest standards
- Assisting with pit lane operations during live events
- Using specialist cleaning equipment and tools to maintain wheels and tyres in excellent condition
- Working closely with the Workshop Manager and Fleet Manager to ensure vehicles are prepared and ready for each event
- Monitoring tyre stock levels and assisting with inventory management to ensure adequate supplies are always available
- Supporting the engineering team with general workshop and event duties as required
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands‑on work and thrives in a busy team environment. You'll ideally have:
- Previous tyre fitting experience is essential, especially within a fast turnover environment.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- The flexibility to work weekends and varied hours during our busy events calendar.
- The ability to work efficiently, accurately and calmly under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
