A great opportunity has arisen for a versatile and hardworking No2 Mechanic to join the Engineering team at Brands Hatch. This role will involve working within a small team, assisting with maintenance of our fleet of high‑performance single‑seater race cars, 4x4's, Caterhams and Rally‑spec Toyota GT86s as well as a host of site maintenance vehicles, to ensure we deliver market‑leading retail and corporate motor racing events.

Job duties will include:

  • Assisting the team conducting thorough inspections and maintenance of our high‑performance vehicles used for our corporate and retail events.
  • Ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the correct specification.
  • Working with our Engineering team to determine the source of machinery problems and work to solve issues efficiently.
  • Working as part of our wider Engineering team to complete large‑scale rebuilds.
  • Ensuring that any paperwork is processed in accordance with the correct procedures.
  • Cleaning of vehicles inside and out so they are presented back for use in pristine condition after any work on them is complete.
  • Ensuring the workshop is clean and properly maintained at all times.
  • Being aware of, and ensuring compliance with, all relevant Health and Safety acts and guidance.

You will have:

  • A good understanding of mechanical engineering either already with or working towards a recognised qualification (i.e. City and Guilds or a Level 3 equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Pride in your work and a desire to complete tasks to the best of your ability.
  • A track record of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to work weekends as part of a rota.

Due to our location and duties within the role, you do require a full UK driving licence to apply. To fit around college commitments, we are happy to consider applicants currently studying Level 3 Motorsport Engineering. The role can begin on a part‑time basis alongside your studies, with the opportunity to progress to full‑time once you have completed your course.
