We’re looking for a dedicated Housekeeper & General Cleaner to join our friendly Campus Services team at the stunning West Dean Estate in Sussex. Set within the breathtaking South Downs National Park, West Dean combines heritage, creativity, education, and hospitality - making it a truly unique place to work.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a valued member of our Housekeeping team, you will help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and presentation across our historic buildings and campus facilities. Your duties will include:
- Cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, offices, and communal spaces
- Making beds and replenishing supplies
- Caring for historic interiors and State Rooms with attention to conservation standards
- Supporting internal and external cleaning across the estate
- Restocking cleaning materials and maintaining equipment
- Reporting maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Delivering excellent customer service to visitors, guests, and staff
This is a varied and active role where no two days are the same. We’d love to hear from you if you are:
- Friendly, reliable, and hardworking
- Detail-oriented with high cleaning standards
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and positive in your approach
- Comfortable with physical work including standing, walking, and lifting
- Experienced in housekeeping or cleaning roles (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH practices would be an advantage.

- Hours: 27.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7
- Holiday: Includes weekends and bank holidays when required
- Salary: £18,261.10 per annum (£23,241.40 FTE)
