What is the role?

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Carpentry Trainer & Assessor to join us in the Northern Beaches! With the opportunity to deliver qualifications such as CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways and CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry, you’ll be sharing your skills, mentoring the next generation, and helping students thrive in their careers. Whether you’re seeking part‑time or full‑time hours, this role offers flexibility, ongoing professional development, and the chance to make a real difference in the community through quality training and assessment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • On‑Site Assessment – Conduct regular site visits to deliver face‑to‑face training and assessment while fostering a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Training Delivery – Deliver and assess training across multiple modes, including online, classroom‑based, and on‑site with apprentices.
  • Caseload Management – Manage a caseload of apprentices and funded students, tailoring learning plans to individual needs to support progression and successful completion.
  • Maintaining Quality – Uphold compliance obligations and ensure all training and assessment practices meet required standards and funding requirements.
  • Mentoring – Provide ongoing guidance, encouragement, and mentorship to students from diverse backgrounds to support their vocational journey.
  • Administration – Complete all required documentation, including training contracts, student records, and assessment outcomes, in line with organisational and compliance standards.

About You

You’re a motivated and approachable professional with real‑world carpentry experience and a passion for sharing knowledge. You hold a current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) and are confident delivering engaging, hands‑on training that supports students to achieve their goals. You thrive in a people‑focused environment, bring excellent communication and organisational skills, and have the flexibility to adapt your training style to suit different learners. Most importantly, you’re committed to making a positive difference in the lives of your students and helping shape the future of the Carpentry industry.
