Job Overview
Reporting to the Head of Vendor Alliances, the Vendor Alliance Lead – Associate Director is responsible for managing outsourced clinical activities and deliverables for one or more External Relationship Management Teams (ERMT) focused on Licensing and Translations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee business review meetings with vendors, utilizing KPI, KQI, and UVP dashboards, and facilitate internal cross-functional ERMT meetings.
- Lead a team of Vendor Startup Managers (VSM) to support supplier startup activities.
- Address escalated global or country-specific vendor issues and perform root cause analysis to identify systemic problems.
- Utilize technological tools for efficient issue resolution.
- Serve as a category expert, providing training and ensuring compliance with SOPs and guidelines.
- Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) from audits and inspections, and support Health Authority inspections.
- Drive category innovation, improvements, and proactive risk management.
- Support vendor qualification processes globally and locally, and assist VSMs in collaboration with Site Startup teams.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in clinical operations and vendor management.
- Strong knowledge of GxP and ICH regulations.
- Understanding of clinical trial design and supplier requirements.
- Technical knowledge of Novartis specifications for services and experience with User Acceptance Testing for eCOA and IRT.
- Experience in site collaboration, activation, outsourcing, contracting, and sourcing clinical services.
- Results-oriented with a proven ability to complete projects on time.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work in a matrix environment.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take responsibility.
