The Director of Pipeline Intelligence and Reporting is a strategic leader responsible for turning complex data into actionable insights that shape critical decisions across the Development organization. This role manages advanced pipeline planning, analysis, and reporting processes to ensure accurate performance tracking and key metrics visibility. By delivering high‑quality analytics and integrating data‑driven intelligence, the Director enables leadership to benchmark effectiveness and drive operational excellence.

Acting as a trusted advisor, this position influences priorities and accelerates progress across Development programs. The impact is significant: decisions informed by this role directly enhance organizational efficiency, strengthen strategic planning, and maximize value across the pipeline. The ideal candidate combines analytical expertise with strong leadership and collaboration skills, thriving in a dynamic environment where innovation and precision are essential to success.

Major Accountabilities

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful pipeline reports that empower senior leadership to make data‑driven decisions.
  • Apply advanced analytics and data science to uncover trends, predict outcomes, and enhance pipeline efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Provide strategic narratives and high‑impact insights that influence resource allocation, portfolio prioritization, and long‑term planning.
  • Define robust performance metrics, monitor pipeline health, and leverage external benchmarking to align with industry best practices.
  • Build strong partnerships across R&D, Business Units, and key stakeholders to harmonise data models and accelerate development activities.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end pipeline data governance, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and scalability for reliable analytics.
  • Position Strategic Pipeline Intelligence as a trusted partner delivering innovative, data‑driven solutions that advance organisational performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • A graduate degree in life sciences (Master’s or equivalent); a PhD or similar advanced qualification is highly valued, and business acumen (MBA or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of 10+ years in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, ideally with exposure to drug development and portfolio management, though candidates with strong strategic and analytical backgrounds from related sectors are encouraged to apply.
  • Show leadership in complex environments, having successfully driven multi‑functional projects and collaborated across international, multidisciplinary drug development teams.
  • Leverage strategic experience gained through senior roles spanning the full drug development lifecycle or consultancy within major strategy firms, influencing decisions and shaping outcomes.
  • Apply critical thinking and advanced analytics, using data science principles to uncover insights and enable evidence‑based decision‑making.
  • Lead through influence, building strong partnerships and guiding teams in a matrix organisation without formal authority, while fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Excel under pressure, delivering results within tight timelines and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders to drive impact.
  • Communicate with clarity and impact, tailoring messages for diverse audiences and inspiring alignment across organisational levels.
  • Fluent in English, with a curious mindset and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
