The Clinical Development Director (CDD) is the clinical/scientific and clinical development expert, providing leadership and support for clinical development deliverables within a defined global clinical program or trial, under the leadership of the GPCH.

About The Role

  • Supports and leads delivery of clinical deliverables such as development strategies, protocol components, data review, regulatory documents, and publications.
  • Provides input into analyses, interpretations, and development of CSRs, publications, and presentations.
  • Leads development of clinical sections of regulatory documents.
  • Oversees scientific review of trial data, collaborating with data management and statistics teams.
  • Prepares for inspections, audits, and reviews clinical data for accuracy.
  • May serve as Program Manager for other associates.
  • Supports safety monitoring and reporting, and may be part of the Safety Management Team.

This hybrid role can be based in London, Dublin, Basel, or Barcelona.

Minimum Requirements

  • Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare (PharmD, PhD preferred).
  • Experience in Neuroscience, Cell & Gene, Rare or neuromuscular diseases, or Neuroinflammation preferred.
  • Work Experience: ≥ 7 years in clinical research or drug development, with ≥ 3 years in global clinical trial activities.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic area, GCP, trial design, statistics, and regulatory processes.
  • People management experience, preferably in a global or matrix environment.
