In this strategic leadership role, you steer the chemistry strategy for antibody-drug conjugate and vectorized drug conjugate programs in oncology. You will lead a team of medicinal chemists, shape portfolio priorities, and foster cross-functional partnerships to translate science into patient-focused therapies. You’ll drive breakthrough chemistry approaches, manage complex programs from discovery to development milestones, and advocate an inclusive, innovative culture. Responsibilities

  • Lead medicinal chemistry strategy for ADC and vectorized drug conjugate programs across the oncology portfolio
  • Guide project teams from exploratory research to candidate nomination
  • Build, mentor and develop a high-performing team of medicinal chemists
  • Partner with biology, biotherapeutics, PK, safety, and process chemistry to advance programs
  • Shape portfolio strategy, prioritization and resourcing aligned with oncology goals
  • Identify emerging technologies, external collaborations and opportunities to strengthen the discovery portfolio
  • Foster an innovative, inclusive and collaborative environment amid complexity and change

Key requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or closely related discipline
  • Minimum 12 years of pharma/biotech R&D experience with significant leadership experience
  • Proven success advancing oncology drug discovery toward clinical development
  • Deep knowledge of antibody-drug conjugates and vectorized drug conjugates
  • Broad understanding of drug discovery disciplines including PK, toxicology and pharmacology
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, influence across functions, and translate science into strategic decisions
