The AI and Innovation Product Manager is responsible for guiding the development, launch, and continuous improvement of AI-powered products, ensuring they align with user needs and business objectives. This role involves working in tandem with a business owner (i.e. product leader in the beneficiary Line Function) and a team to define product vision & strategy, manage the product lifecycle, motivate product team & drive product success through data-driven decision-making and ethical considerations in AI deployment. Hallmark of the role is the ability to navigate complexity and uncertainty, maintaining a strategic bias towards decisive action. This role requires continuously scanning the external environment, challenging team approaches, and making swift, informed decisions that propel realization of the product value proposition.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for product management of 1-3 products depending on scale and complexity
- Lead the development, launch, and continuous improvement of AI-powered products in collaboration with business owners and cross-functional teams
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives
- Manage the product lifecycle, including MVP development, scaling, and continuous refinement through data-driven decision-making (technical, adoption and value metrics)
- Oversee product budget and resource allocation to maximize ROI and impact, while maintaining stakeholder engagement and prioritizing feature development
- Collaborate with DDIT and external parties to ensure seamless product delivery and transition to the maintenance phase
Ideal Background
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Desirable: Master's degree in a relevant field
Languages: Excellent English required (oral & written)
Experience/Professional requirement:
- 7+ years in life science sector and 3+ years in a product management role
- Demonstrated track record of successfully launching and scaling products from conception to market
- Strong stakeholder management, process design, and value realization capabilities
- Experience in leading product strategy, development, and continuous improvement
- Ideal candidates will have a blend of experience working in both start-up environments and enterprise settings, bringing a versatile perspective to product development and management

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role:
London: 100,240.00 - 186,160.00 GBP Annual
The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
