Collaborating across Medical Affairs, Development, Biomedical Research and Commercial, you will lead global publication, medical education, and foundational content strategies —ensuring Novartis remains at the forefront of evidence dissemination and launch excellence.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic development of scientific communication platforms across multiple assets and indications within a therapeutic area
- Oversee global publication, medical education, and foundational content planning in alignment with cross-functional partners
- Oversee publication execution including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations across the asset lifecycle
- Co-create early asset communication strategies with cross-functional teams
- Build and lead high-performing teams of Scientific Communications professionals
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare organizations across global and country-level roles
- Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD); MBA or professional qualification desirable
- Proven expertise in medical affairs, publication planning, and medical education strategy development
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams in dynamic, matrixed environments across regions and functions
- Deep understanding of ethical standards and compliance in pharmaceutical communications and publication practices
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences
