We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse working nights. This is a hybrid role, so you will be required to split your time between operating the FLT and carrying out general warehouse duties.
Daily tasks will include:
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving stock safely around the warehouse
- Picking and handling wood panels and related materials
You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised working environment and supporting the wider team with day-to-day operations.
Working hours: Sundays 9pm - 6am, Monday - Thursday 9:30pm - 6:00am
Experience working with wood panels or similar materials is essential for this role.
Duties:
- Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on forklift equipment to maintain operational safety and efficiency
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage according to safety guidelines
- Support warehouse organisation by maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and minimise delays in material handling
