We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join a well-established and growing distribution business based in Shipley. This is primarily a warehouse-based role, however candidates must hold previous FLT experience and be confident operating a Counterbalance truck when required. The successful candidate will be hands-on, reliable and willing to support all aspects of the warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy team with long-term prospects and immediate starts available. £12.71 per hour Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:45pm.
Duties:
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
- Operating a Counterbalance FLT as required
- Moving stock throughout the warehouse and yard
- Assisting with goods in and goods out processes
- Carrying out stock checks and inventory counts
- Ensuring products are stored safely and correctly
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting colleagues across all warehouse functions
- Following company health & safety procedures at all times
Skills:
- Previous warehouse experience is essential
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence preferred (in-house licences considered)
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
