Job Description Novara People is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Installation Engineer to join their growing team.\n \nThe successful candidate will be responsible for installing specialist electrical and mechanical ventilation systems across various sites throughout London and the South of England.\n \nThis is a hands-on position, working closely with Project Managers, site teams and contractors to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n \nCarry out electrical and mechanical installations of specialist ventilation systems.\n \nEnsure all installations are completed to specification, within agreed deadlines and in accordance with health and safety requirements.\n \nWork closely with Project Managers to coordinate installation activities.\n \nLiaise professionally with main contractors, M&E contractors and other site personnel.\n \nAssist with testing, commissioning and fault-finding where required.\n \nUndertake control panel wiring where experience allows.\n \nSupport and guide labourers or apprentices where necessary.\n \nMaintain high standards of workmanship, safety and site organisation.\n \nTravel between customer sites across London and the South of England.\n \nSkills Required\n \nProven experience in electrical installation, ideally within commercial or industrial environments.\n \nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.\n \nExperience installing, wiring and connecting electrical equipment.\n \nGood electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.\n \nExperience with testing and commissioning electrical installations.\n \nBasic mechanical installation knowledge would be advantageous.\n \nPrevious experience with ventilation systems or control panel wiring would be beneficial but is not essential.\n \nStrong understanding of health and safety procedures on site.\n \nGood communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.\n \nFlexible approach to work and willingness to travel between sites across London and the South East\n \nQualifications Required\n \nEssential:\n \nNVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.\n \n17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.\n \nValid ECS or CSCS card.\n \nFull UK Driving License\n \nDesirable:\n \nCity & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.\n \nAdditional mechanical or ventilation-related qualifications.\n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
