Novara People are recruiting for a Handyman / Maintenance Operative to support a well-established specialist manufacturing business based in Leeds. This is a temporary position expected to last a couple of months, supporting the site with a variety of general maintenance, painting and repair work.
Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm, 39 hours per week.
Duties will include:
- Painting and decorating around the site
- Carrying out minor repairs
- General maintenance and upkeep
- Basic handyman tasks
- Touching up damaged or worn areas
- Supporting with general site improvements
- Using basic hand tools
- Keeping work areas clean and tidy
- Following site Health & Safety procedures
What we’re looking for:
- Somebody who is practical and hands-on, with previous experience in general maintenance, handyman, property maintenance or similar work.
- Comfortable carrying out a variety of tasks rather than specialising in one particular trade.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Confident using basic hand tools.
- Comfortable completing painting and minor repair work.
- Health & Safety conscious.
- Available for the full duration of the temporary assignment.
