Novara People are currently recruiting for a General Labourer to join a well-established metal manufacturing business based in Halifax. Our client supplies high-quality fabricated metal products to a wide range of industries across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to support their busy production team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and wants to build a long-term career within manufacturing.
Pay: £12.71ph
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:30pm, X2 15 min breaks AM and PM, 30 minute lunch, 9.5 hours paid per day
Duties:
- Assisting with the preparation and movement of metal materials around the workshop
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely
- Supporting Fabricators and Welders with day-to-day production tasks
- Using hand and power tools where required
- Grinding, deburring and finishing metal components
- Packing and preparing finished products for dispatch
- Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and organised
- Disposing of scrap materials safely
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Carrying out any other general labouring duties as required
Skills:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or labouring environment is beneficial but not essential
- Physically fit and happy carrying out manual work
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Health and safety conscious
