Novara People is recruiting for a confident and commercially driven Account Manager to join an established office-based business in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, winning new business and developing existing client accounts. You will play an important role in growing the client base, identifying sales opportunities and providing a high level of customer service throughout the sales process.

The Role:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business while also managing and growing relationships with existing customers. You will communicate with clients by phone and email, understand their requirements and recommend suitable products and services to support their needs. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who is target-driven, organised and confident speaking with decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and win new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails and follow-up activity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Upsell and cross-sell relevant products and services to existing accounts.
  • Manage client enquiries, provide quotations and follow up opportunities promptly.
  • Understand customer requirements and offer suitable, value-led solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer conversations, quotes and opportunities.
  • Work towards agreed sales targets and contribute to the company’s overall growth.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to securing the order and ongoing account management.
  • Resolve customer queries professionally and ensure a positive client experience.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure orders and client requirements are managed effectively.
  • Keep up to date with products, services, pricing and market opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous sales or account-management experience within the office supplies, business consumables, workplace products or a closely related industry is essential.
  • Proven experience in new business sales, account management, telesales or customer account management within a relevant industry.
  • A confident and professional telephone manner, with strong communication skills.
  • Experience developing new business and upselling to existing clients.
  • A proactive, resilient and target-focused approach.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
  • Competent IT skills and experience using CRM systems would be beneficial.
