A well-established and growing Family Law Firm in Reading (RG41) is looking to hire a Paralegal to join its collaborative and supportive legal team. The firm is known for its client-focused approach, professional development opportunities, and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services in a supportive working environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting Solicitors on a range of family law matters including non-molestation, child-related matters, care proceedings, occupation orders, financial remedies and other areas of family law
- Preparing legal aid applications and financial documents
- Drafting court documents including applications, statements, and correspondence
- Managing case files and maintaining accurate records on case management systems (Leap)
- Reviewing disclosure and expert evidence and assisting with case preparation
- Conducting legal research in relation to family law and procedural issues
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, Family Procedure Rules, and Legal Aid Agency requirements
Required Skills:
- Previous experience in Family Law, either as a Legal Administrator/Assistant or Paralegal
- Experience with Legal Aid Agency processes (e.g. applications, billing, or case management)
- Strong organisational and case management skills
- Working knowledge of Family Procedure Rules and Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) principles
- Ability to manage deadlines and maintain compliance in a high-volume environment
Qualifications:
- Law degree or equivalent (such as LPC/SQE), must be recognised in England and Wales

- Commitment to ongoing CPD, including attendance at training, webinars, and relevant legal updates
Pay range and compensation package:
- Salary: £28,000 per annum
