The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stores Technician to join our dynamic operations team in Stockport. You will play a key role in managing inventory, supporting production, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and components.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems.
- Pick and issue materials to production in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Ensure the stores area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Liaise with procurement, production, and quality teams to resolve stock discrepancies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the stores function.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics role (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
