We are expanding our engineering capability and are seeking an RF Engineer to help develop the next generation of RF power systems driving our advanced CO₂ laser technologies.
The OpportunityYou will work at the forefront of RF development within a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for both new product innovation and continuous improvement. This role offers true technical depth, combining RF amplifier design, experimentation, testing and problem-solving in an environment where your expertise will directly influence product performance and reliability.
What you will be doing:- Designing RF electronics for laser excitation systems
- Developing next-generation RF amplifiers from concept through production
- Conducting RF testing, measurement and characterisation
- Designing prototypes and experimental test equipment
- Creating schematics, PCB layouts and BOMs
- Analysing performance data and translating results into actionable improvements
- Supporting manufacturing and continuous improvement activities
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Identifying and evaluating emerging RF technologies and components
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (MSc advantageous)
- Practical RF development experience
- Experience taking products from concept through production
- Strong RF amplifier knowledge
- Expertise in HF/VHF systems
- PCB design and RF layout experience
- Understanding of FCC and CE compliance requirements
- Strong experimental and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
