We are looking for a Laser Engineer to join our highly skilled engineering team in Stockport. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced laser technologies, helping to develop, test, optimise and sustain world-class laser products used by customers around the globe. Working alongside experienced engineers and technical leaders, you will influence product performance, reliability, manufacturability and future innovation.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and testing laser systems and optical assemblies
  • Building, aligning and characterising laser prototypes
  • Analysing performance data and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Supporting product validation and manufacturing readiness
  • Troubleshooting complex laser, optical and system-level issues
  • Collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Service teams
  • Contributing to new product introduction and sustaining engineering activities

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience with lasers, optics, photonics or electro-optical systems
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability
  • Experience creating technical reports and test documentation
  • Passion for solving challenging engineering problems
