We are looking for an Electronics Engineering Manager to lead our Electronics Hardware Development team and drive both technical excellence and people development.

The Opportunity

This role combines engineering leadership, team development and strategic delivery. You will lead a talented electronics engineering team responsible for developing the hardware that powers our next generation of advanced laser products while partnering closely with software, firmware, project management and wider business stakeholders. You will have genuine influence, helping shape engineering capability, development processes and future product innovation.

    • Line management of the Electronics Hardware Development team
    • Coaching, mentoring and developing engineers
    • Creating an inclusive, high-performing culture
    • Supporting career development and succession planning
    • Promoting collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
  • Technical Leadership
    • Supporting and partnering with senior technical experts
    • Providing technical guidance and oversight
    • Ensuring development activities meet technical and quality standards
    • Improving engineering processes, tools and methodologies
    • Supporting product innovation and roadmap delivery
  • Project & Resource Management
    • Resource allocation and capacity planning
    • Budget management
    • Project delivery and milestone tracking
    • Risk identification and mitigation
    • Stakeholder engagement across the organisation

What you will bring:

  • Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams
  • Strong electronics hardware development background
  • Full product lifecycle experience
  • Technical project leadership capability
  • Knowledge of EMC, LVD, RoHS and product compliance requirements
  • Strong planning, communication and organisational skills
  • A coaching leadership style focused on team growth
