Role Description:

This role involves acting as a teaching assistant to tutors delivering ESOL/English classes for learners aged 19+.

You will:

  • Enjoy working in a team

  • Provide tutorial support

  • Position yourself as a resource for learners

  • Work one-on-one or with small groups of learners needing additional help

You need to be:

  • DBS Checked

  • Confident in using IT

  • Some experience supporting learners with English

  • Committed

  • Competent

  • Reliable

  • Honest

  • Punctual

  • Patient

  • Fair

  • Open-minded

  • Learners may come from various cultural backgrounds and face different learning challenges. You should be comfortable supervising entire classes or working individually with students.

  • Able to follow Nova staff directions and work independently
