The Administrative Assistant is a detailed professional responsible for aiding in the efficient day-to-day operations of the Clinical team for Dr. Edwards and providing full administrative support to the Surgery Scheduler.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and enter information into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Aid in scheduling surgeries for Dr. Edwards and his team.
- Assist Surgery Scheduler with special projects.
- Work both independently and under specific direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Able to be organized and prioritise work efficiently; high ability to multi-task.
- Present a professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word.
- Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to application software and desktop PCs.
- Know how to manage electronic files.
- Know how to print electronic documents and reports.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Have cognitive skills for math, decision making and excellent communication skills.
- Work in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Potential for contact with chemicals, blood-borne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease.
- Able to lift 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques several times during shift.
Job Type & Schedule:
- Job Type: Part-time, 20 hours a week.
- Work Location: In person, Franklin, WI.
- Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday.
