We’re working with a rapidly expanding and dynamic business that is entering an incredibly exciting phase of growth. The company is a well-established construction business who are moving into new sectors including Data Centres. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious HR Executive to take ownership of a broad and varied HR function, supporting both site-based and office teams. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be central to ensuring the smooth delivery of HR operations from recruitment through to retention, while helping to shape a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment activity including sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing coordination, candidate communication, and preparing offer letters and contracts
  • Supporting employer branding and wider recruitment campaigns
  • Delivering onboarding and induction programmes for new starters
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Coordinating exit interviews and managing offboarding processes
  • Supporting employee relations activity including handling queries, attendance and leave tracking, and assisting with payroll processes
  • Contributing to employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and workplace culture
  • Supporting the resolution of workplace issues and disciplinary processes where required
  • Assisting with performance management cycles, tracking appraisals and maintaining documentation
  • Coordinating student placement, internship, and graduate programmes
  • Building relationships with universities, colleges, and training providers
  • Attending careers fairs and recruitment events to promote the organisation
  • Managing recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and development pathways for students and graduates
  • Tracking progress and supporting professional accreditation and development requirements
  • Maintaining training records, certifications, and licence renewals including CSCS and other competency requirements
  • Supporting mandatory training and development initiatives
  • Ensuring HR systems and employee data are accurate, compliant, and up to date
  • Supporting compliance with employment law, company policies, and internal procedures
  • Assisting with audits, reporting, and HR administration tasks

Qualifications

  • A degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar HR role
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • The ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
