At NUAST, our staff are passionate advocates for their subject/area and an invaluable link between education and industry. We are looking to appoint a dynamic full time Learning Support Assistant on a permanent basis that can support our specialist approach to learning.
Your main responsibilities within this role will be:
- Provide teaching support to allocated pupils by planning teaching with the class teacher to achieve progression of learning
- Assisting in preparing the learning environment and the materials used therein
- Managing student behaviour to ensure a constructive working environment
- Support learners in class across the academy, in 1:1 sessions and in small groups to facilitate learning and engagement.
- Under the direction of the teacher devise planning to meet the needs of assigned individuals or groups.
