Culture
We are well-funded but the hardest period of a start-up is always the first couple of years, when the team is small, and you are heavily relied on personally. But this also exposes you to the most interesting period of a company’s lifecycle and also the period where you can learn the most & earn the most material rewards. You won’t be expected to work evenings & weekends, but you will be expected to work hard when on the job. Some days this includes networking events in the evening.
About the role
We’re currently hiring Account Executives to join Novabook as we scale as an AI-native company on an ambitious unicorn journey. We’re growing our sales team from two to five in the coming 12 months. You will be among the first two to join working day-to-day with our COO. We already have a proven sales process having closed several million in ARR and supporting hundreds of businesses. The role will be a combination of prospecting and relationship-building to pipeline management and customer conversations. You will own the deal cycle from beginning to end. This is a fast-paced, high-ownership environment designed for someone who’s hungry to have more responsibility, steep learning, and the chance to grow alongside the company.
What we’re looking for in you:
- Accounting background. You’re a part or fully qualified accountant. Or you’ve worked in business development within an accounting firm. Or you’ve run a business and are familiar with terms like S/EIS, EMI, and CT600.
- Ability to learn quickly. Our sales team aren’t accountants, but you will have to pick up the fundamentals. We’ll help with this via internal learning tools, recordings, and training.
- Hungry to close deals. This is a commission-based role. The more you close, the more you earn. This should excite you. Given the volume of deals, it’ll be important to have a good eye for details and keep everything clear. If you do well, you can earn 6-figures in this role.
- Actually wants to do sales. You’ll speak to many different founders & business owners each day. Attend networking events & dinners. Meeting and helping new people should energise you.
About the application process (less than 2 weeks)
The hiring process consists of three stages:
- A time-bound task
