About Novabook
Novabook is an AI-native accounting firm founded by Stephen Wilks & Lukas Feddern. Our aim is to make the financial processes of starting, running and selling a business in the UK easier. We are a small, rapidly growing team of 50 people at the moment. After launching in May 2024, we already have 900+ clients, £2.5M ARR and are growing quickly.
What technological problems are we solving?
We are building a suite of integrated products to automate 90% of the workflow within accounting firms.
Culture
We are well‑funded but the hardest period of a start‑up is always the first couple of years. You won’t be expected to work evenings & weekends, but you will be expected to work hard when on the job.
About the role
We’re hiring a Business Development Associate to join Novabook as we scale as an AI‑native company. This is an opportunity to build a strong foundation in modern B2B sales while contributing directly to a fast‑growing startup from day one. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across the full sales cycle while learning how technology and AI are transforming the way high‑growth companies sell.
What we’re looking for from you:
- 1-3 years of experience – you don't need to be a seasoned seller, but you should be hungry to become one.
- Excited by owning a full sales cycle – from lead generation to close, you’ll manage your own pipeline and be working towards closing £1M+ in revenue per year.
- A people person – you’ll be helping 100s of founders each month.
- Detail‑oriented – you’ll be maintaining CRM records, writing custom proposals, and doing clean handovers to our accounting team.
- Willing to go up a steep learning curve – you don't need an accounting background, but you’ll need to get comfortable with topics like R&D tax credits, EIS, and VAT.
- Coachable – you’ll be in the room with people who’ve built and scaled companies before, the feedback loop is short and you’ll grow fast.
