About NOVA:

NOVA Wealth is a fast growing start up looking to change the face of financial advice and the way it’s delivered in the UK. We firmly believe that a human adviser needs to be at the heart of every client relationship, however by leveraging technology we can empower our advisers to deliver higher levels of service and cut out a lot of the day to day admin that gets in the way.

At our core, we’re here to build a game changer in the advice industry that delivers better customer outcomes, at a lower cost, for more people. Through customer-centric advisers supported by our innovative Lifeline technology, we empower our customers to go beyond just making smarter financial decisions to living the lives they dream of.

About the role:

At NOVA, we like to do things differently. We’ve gotten rid of lengthy, paper based suitability reports and use technology to deliver full holistic advice in an entirely digital way.

We’re currently recruiting for forward thinking Partners (Financial Advisers), who are frustrated with the status quo and want better outcomes for their customers. We want our Partners focussed on spending time with their clients and not spending time with admin or writing reports.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with the ambition to move away from traditional wealth management firms and cultivate their own client base. You will play a critical role in our future growth, empowering individuals to make the most of their money and revolutionising what it feels like to receive financial advice.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating new business opportunities leveraging our embedded lead generation channels to build your own book of new clients.
  • Providing holistic financial advice with a financial planning led approach, understanding clients unique financial needs and helping them to chart the course to live the lives they dream of.
  • Focussing on delivering an exceptional client service to build multi-generational relationships with both mass affluent and high-net worth clients.
  • Client centric. We put our customers at the centre of everything we do, so the ability to build strong client relationships, have a high attention to detail, and make things more straightforward for our customers is very important.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. We’re a fast growing startup looking to change an industry, where innovative thinking and a determination to succeed is key. The idea of building a book of new clients should be exciting to you.
  • Comfortable with technology. We use a lot of tech to support our customer journeys and are always trying to innovate in this area, so having an open mind for learning new ways of doing things is a must.
  • Team-player. Our teams work in a very close-knit way and as a startup we’re always looking to innovate, so our teams need to be open to trying new ways of doing things and give feedback in a helpful and constructive way.
  • Integrity. We deal with highly confidential and personal data every day for our clients, so our people need to have the highest standards of personal integrity.
  • Qualified. You must be qualified to give regulated financial advice in the UK (i.e. a minimum of level 4 diploma in financial advice with a recognised professional body such as CII, CISI, etc), with a strong preference for those who are Chartered / willing to work towards Chartered status. You’ll also have ~2+ years of experience providing financial advice to clients.

You’ll feel right at home if you’re…

  • Helpful: random acts of kindness make the workplace a better place so, go out of your way to be helpful, and give people reasons to smile.
  • Straightforward: life is complicated enough. Don’t make it harder for yourself, or for others. Sometimes the simplest approach works wonders.
  • Bold: every great business started with a flash of inspiration. If you’ve got a great idea, don’t keep it to yourself
  • Join a firm with genuine purpose and impact on our customers, along with a strong moral code
  • Competitive salary + benefits (bonus, pension, private medical, income protection, death in service)
  • Potential to get equity in the company in the future
  • Access to Wellness / mental health support (Headspace App + mental health support through private medical)
  • Budget for additional learning / cost of exams
  • Electric vehicle leasing through salary sacrifice / cycle to work scheme
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid remote working (typically 2-3 days a week working in the office (20 Farringdon Street))
  • Exceptionally open and diverse, multinational team
  • Entrepreneurial, creative environment
