Brambles Day Nursery are looking for an experienced enthusiastic Toddler Room lead to join our experienced and friendly team. You will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and social skills.

As the Toddler Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our toddlers. You will be responsible for leading a team, planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, and building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0–5 years.
  • To ensure the nursery environment is safe and welcoming for children, staff and visitors.
  • To develop strong partnerships with parents and carers to support children’s individual development.
  • To implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in accordance with the nursery’s ethos and curriculum approach.
  • To ensure the smooth daily running of the room.
  • To lead a small team, ensuring responsibilities are appropriately delegated.
  • To be enthusiastic, engaging and fun, creating excellent learning opportunities for the children.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in line with the nursery’s ethos and values.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with toddlers or in a childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development for children aged 0 months to 5 years old.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Passionate about providing high-quality care and education for young children.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities.

Our aim for the children is to feel “home from home” in a stimulating and safe environment. We combine the Early Years Foundation Stage with individually tailored care, to offer our children the best possible start to their education.

Safeguarding is of utmost importance and we pride ourselves in ensuring our children and families are safe and offered support where needed. Therefore, good safeguarding knowledge is essential but regular updated training will be provided.

All applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of this will be covered by Brambles Day Nursery. All applicants are required to subscribe to the DBS Update service and maintain the annual fee of £13.00. Successful applicants are also subject to two good references.
