Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new role? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Teaching Assistant.
As a Teaching Assistant you will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs and will be committed to ensuring that all students have access to high quality education and support. Through this you will also be required to work closely with the tutors providing assistance in the classroom as well as on any outdoor activities/trips.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in the preparation and also the delivery of the lessons/interventions for the day
- Take sessions in workshop, manage resources and ensure security of equipment and materials
- Daily reports on learners progress and barriers to learning.
- Interaction with parents/caregivers on a regular basis.
- Assist in dealing with any behavioural difficulties that may occur
- Be able to motivate, challenge and inspire students to achieve their best
- Contribute to our core vision and values
- Be able to work independently and as part of a strong and cohesive team
- Have strong subject knowledge within English and Maths
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Teaching Assistant in an education setting.
- Relevant Qualification/training in Special Education.
- Previous experience of working with learners who have an EHCP would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Have vision, innovation and passion for teaching and learning.
