Functional Skills Tutor

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri.

Location: Birmingham(Stechford)

Salary: £24,000 – £30,000 per annum, (depending on experience & qualifications)

Are you a Functional Skills Tutor looking for a new role?

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Functional Skills Tutor.

As a Functional Skills Tutor you will be supporting students to achieve their functional skills qualifications in both English and Maths up to Level 2. We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor who can motivate, engage and inspire our learners to achieve their full potential whilst on our programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery of Functional Skills English, and Maths up to Level 2.
Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared.
Achieve company KPI’s and Individual Performance Plan
Plan embedded learning for groups and individuals
Develop delivery in order to maximise progression opportunities for learners.
Create conditions in the training centre(s) which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
Regularly assess learners\’ work.
Requirements:

Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2
A Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in 14-19 provision.
Full Teaching Qualifications I.e. Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTLLS
Passion & desire to teach
Willingness to undertake any relevant Teaching Qualifications necessary. Employee Benefits:
