Functional Skills Tutor - English & Maths

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent, 37.5 hrs per wk

Location: Cannock

Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, (depending on experience & qualifications)

Are you a Functional Skills Tutor looking for a new role? We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Functional Skills Tutor. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be supporting students to achieve their functional skills qualifications in both English and Maths up to Level 2. We are looking for a tutor who can motivate, engage and inspire our learners to achieve their full potential whilst on our programme.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of Functional Skills English, and Maths up to Level 2.
  • Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared.
  • Achieve company KPIs and Individual Performance Plan.
  • Plan embedded learning for groups and individuals.
  • Develop delivery in order to maximise progression opportunities for learners.
  • Create conditions in the training centre(s) which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
  • Regularly assess learners' work.

Requirements

  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2.
  • A Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in 14-19 provision.
  • Full Teaching Qualifications i.e. Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTLLS.
  • Passion & desire to teach.
  • Willingness to undertake any relevant Teaching Qualifications necessary.
