We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a
SEN tutor based in our Oldbury centre.
As an
SEN tutor , your role will be to support small groups of learners in the classroom with their functional skills & Employability to help develop their independence and improve the skills of young people for their individual futures.
The learner s individual needs can range from mild to moderate educational needs and/or disabilities.
You will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs and will be committed to ensuring that all students have access to high quality education and support.
Key Responsibilities
- To Develop and assess to the appropriate levels to support the learners ability to work confidently, effectively and independently in life and work
- Develop delivery in order to maximise progression opportunities for learners.
- Support the learner with their additional needs whilst encouraging and motivating them to attain high levels of achievements.
- To plan and deliver a creative curriculum that meets the needs of individual students
- Build effective relationships with learners, parents/carers and staff.
- Achieve company KPI s and Individual Performance Plan
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 year s experience in 14-24 provision.
- Full Teaching Qualification (PGCE, QTS, PTLLS, DTLLS,)
- Experience of teaching students within the field of Autism and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- To be a patient, resilient and motivated individual.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Have vision, innovation and passion for teaching and learning.
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
