We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Early Years Tutor based in our Walsall (Bloxwich) centre to deliver training and mentoring.

As an Early Years Tutor, your role will be to offer young people and adults an overall learning experience that prepares them for the ability to function and progress successfully in adult and working life, also helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to complete their vocational qualification. You will be accountable to deliver the Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners in accordance with the Education Inspection Framework (2019). In doing this you will be expected to achieve company targets and individual performance plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver the Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners to learners in scope.
  • To observe learners in the Early Years Setting and assess learners against the qualification standard.
  • Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared prior to learners attending and are linked to overarching curriculum plans.
  • Ensure that learners have access to appropriate contextualised employment and personal skills sessions.
  • Managing learner behaviour in the classroom whether this is online or on company premises, applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour.
Requirements
  • Recognised teaching qualification e.g. AET, PTLLS or equivalent (min L3)
  • TA element or TAQA (or A1 equivalent)
  • Minimum L3 in Early Years
  • A minimum of 2 years Teaching experience in 14-19 provision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritise under pressure.
  • Strong organisation, accuracy and attention to detail and IT literate.
  • Full, clean UK Driving License
