We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join an industry leading baker of a variety of delicious treats and cakes. You will be accountable for the implementation of the Quality Management system site policies and procedures, driving for compliance to site standards and continuous improvement of food safety, product quality, legality, and food safety culture.
Key accountabilities as Quality Assurance Manager:
- Implementing policies and procedures as defined by the business and Retailer Codes of Practice/Quality Manuals.
- Monitoring and maintaining the Quality Manual through supporting the robust internal audit system, and carrying out audits.
- Being a key stakeholder in the NPD process, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to manufacturing for all product launches.
- Supporting key site/business systems and owning where applicable.
- Implementing and monitoring site compliance to testing regimes as defined by the Quality Manual, including action on trending.
- Day-to-day management and development of the site Technical Team.
- Monitoring, analysing, and trending relevant data for improved compliance, food safety & product quality, including but not exhaustive to taste panels, customer complaints, supplier issues, internal incidents, holds, and derogations. Providing data for KPI where required.
- Ensuring compliance to spec driving continuous improvement through root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities (CAPA).
- Driving cross-functional communication with operations team, engineering, and NPD (including other teams as relevant) to provide timely and correct information in line with job role.
- Completing and taking part in Internal & External Audits as required.
- Supporting the Hygiene team through auditing, and driving compliance for cleaning to plan.
- Being a HACCP Team member.
We're looking for a Quality Assurance Manager with:
- Previous experience in a similar role, within FMCG.
- Level 3 HACCP.
- Level 4 Food Hygiene.
- Experience of internal audits.
- Allergen Awareness.
